Hello, my name is

Fumi

Professional Japanese language teacher

About me

I am a certified Japanese language teacher based in Vancouver, with the qualifications and passion to support diverse learners.

More than language —
a meaningful experience.

I previously worked as an architect, which is a completely different field. After obtaining my certification as a Japanese language teacher, I moved to Vancouver, Canada, where I’m currently studying English and digital marketing.

After leaving my previous job, I studied English at a language school overseas to improve my skills. During that time, I realized how wonderful it is to teach languages. Teaching a foreign language is not just about grammar and vocabulary—it’s about sharing culture, creating memorable experiences, and expanding future possibilities. I hope to offer my students not only language lessons, but also meaningful experiences that no certification can replace.

All lessons are one-on-one, providing personalized attention to each student. Classes are held online by default, but if you're based in Vancouver, in-person lessons may be arranged upon request. You can choose your preferred time slot from the table below, but feel free to contact us if you need a different schedule. Textbooks can be selected from the options listed further below.
